Do You Love Disco? Seventies Themed Wedding Ideas

Getting married is one of the most exciting days of your life- what better way to celebrate than having a theme wedding?

Flashy tuxedos, seventies music and a disco ball! With so many wonderful hits from this era, you are sure to find a few you enjoy. Fondue, hamburgers and hotdogs along with tie dye decorations and lava lamps will set the mood.

A bohemian styled wedding gown with a blinged up headband and veil and perhaps a daisy wedding cake?

Seventies posters are relatively inexpensive, be sure to visit ShindigZ to order a Disco Photo Stand In cardboard cut out so your guests can put their heads through and have fun memories of your event.

The most obvious 70s outfits for your guests usually involve a big wig, collared shirts, white disco pants , extra wide ties and incredibly colorful hippy clothes with lots of flowers and peace signs.

Simon and Garfunkel, The Carpenters, The Guess Who, BJ Thomas, Edwin Starr, Diana Ross, The Jackson 5, Rare Earth, The Beatles, Freda Payne, Three Dog Night, Ray Stevens, Bread, Vanity Fair, Neil Diamond, War, Sly and The a Family Stone, The Bee Gees, The Monkees, War and many more are available on ITunes.

Some of the top 70s wedding songs are:

Babe by Styx, All Right Now by Free, Brick House by the Commodores, Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel, Dancing Queen by Abba, Dream Weaver by Gary Wright, I a Think I Love You by The Partridge Family, Fooled Around and Fell in Love by Elvin Bishop, Funkytown by Lipps, Inc and I Go Crazy by Paul Davis.

Big hats were especially popular and look great with most any outfit. I love dressing up with any theme to stay within whatever them you may choose in my role as event co ordinator, floral designer and wedding officiant.

Have fun, a wedding is a party and should be as memorable as you like!
