Arlington Wedding with Interfaith Blending of Families San Miguel Family Fun

Anne Alexander accompanied me to this venue in Arlington to take photos of the lovely Bride and Groom.

Requesting a Unity Candle ceremony incorporated with hand written vows, this Catholic wedding ceremony was beautiful and emotional for the guests and wedding party alike.

The Children escorted the Bride and Groom down the aisle and I’d like to take a moment to let you know how touching and emotional it was for guests that the Brides sons both gave her hand in marriage to the Groom.

Anyone close to the Bride can give the Bride away if the father is either deceased or unable to attend the ceremony.

I’ve even had Brides that walk the aisle with their family pet, childhood friend, sister, mother, etc.

Presenting the Bride is a very honored position for whomever is chosen, a great compliment for whomever is requested.

We had a guest in a wheelchair I overheard asking the wedding coordinator if there was a wheelchair accessible table on hand and being quite familiar with disabled access I jumped in to help.

Wheelchair accessible tables need to be lifted approximately 6-8 inches according to the chair. This is easily done by putting something under table legs to get the height desired and, had I been in charge of wedding coordinations, would have been addressed prior to the ceremony.

It is often overlooked when accommodating guests for receptions and ceremonies the difficulties faced for disabled friends or family members- whenever I’m consulted on events, it is also one of the first questions I ask and I’m often confused as to how or why an experienced wedding coordinator can overlook such an important detail!

Please consider a hearing impaired or disabled guest or family member when planning your event as your attention to this important detail will be a great gift to someone in need of assistance to maneuver and enjoy your event as much as those who aren’t challenged with mobility, hearing or sight impairment.
