Wedding Coordination & Party Planning At Deer Cove With The Texas Twins Events/Pawning Planners Team

Today, my twin sister and I traveled with Tammi Leggett to meet with Laurie and plan the decorations and wedding flowers for her son’s wedding March 5, 2016.

Laurie had contacted us a few months ago regarding photography and helping to coordinate this event for her son.  She is struggling with bone cancer and employed at Walmart where Cindy works part time as a brand marketing specialist for Proctor & Gamble.  Laurie and Cindy had been friends for over a year and my team is committed to helping Laurie give her son the wedding of his dreams at Deer Cove.

The venue is beautiful with outdoor seating areas and a separate area for dining.  We decided to use a room for the cake that features a unique split log for the cake pedestal and although the restrooms are somewhat small, decided to use the dining hall facilities for hair and make up for the bridal party. The flowers I’ve chosen are tropical to compliment the wedding colors of coral and blue.  “Whipping Up” centerpieces will ensure that this event looks complete and the wedding colors are carried throughout the venue.

I will be loaning centerpieces, Garland and decorations from my Texas Twins Treasures Inventory to help “pull everything together” for this wedding and we are all praying that March in Texas doesn’t bring snow or ice this year.  However, we have enough room inside to hold the wedding ceremony and party if necessary although the lovely outdoor area would be perfect if the weather permits.

Laurie is very excited and my team are honored that we can help her with this event.  Catered barbecue and Texas cousine will be served in the dining area with the band located in the main room.  The unique interior of this venue has a “rustic vibe” that all of us loved and I will be bringing large glass vases to house flameless candles with flower petals to decorate the tables with.

We enjoyed hashing out ideas and working together as a team to make plans with Laurie and the couple which will include an upcoming rehearsal.

This event is near and dear to our hearts as Laurie continues chemotherapy that leaves her weak and struggling with bone pain.  She is really looking forward to an event that will reunite her family and friends.

As we get into gear this wedding season, our adventures are already being planned into June and we are once again excited to meet new families and friends from Fort Worth, Texas!

We had a great time watching Laurie laugh and smile and even dance with her friends and family ❤
