Going Away Block Party For Soldier Brody Nolan with Help from Neighbors, Texas Twins Events Always Supports Military Personnel- We are a military family too!

Last Saturday www.texastwinsevents.com planned and prepared a block party for the Nolan Family.

I’m often asked for tips and advice on how to pull an event together and, off the bat decided that this event should center around a Stars and Stripes theme with Angie Nolan suggesting camoflouge accents, I also decided that yellow ribbons around trees and mailboxes would pull everything together.

I asked Virginia Malone, my indispensable secretary, to order a camoflouged themed cake and find some army men and tanks in a marble vanilla and chocolate as well as a dozen red, white and blue vanilla cupcakes along with a dozen chocolate.

The centerpieces were bright with reds and whites accented by glitter blue, and Angie found a fabulous tank piñata.

Together, this party was not only a surprise to a wonderful boy who had wanted a going away party, it was also a gift to my friend Angie who I know will miss her son dearly.

Texas Twins Events Team Members Cindy Daniel, Stephaney Mahaney, the tiny Texas Twins, Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney, Virginia Malone and Karolyn Nein helped with decorations and cupcakes during a humid summer day and the help of friends and neighbors to “pitch in” with pot luck dinners and treats made this emotional event special for this young soldier and a very proud set of parents.

Texas Twins Events will always offer discounts to active or retired or even recently enlisted members of all military personnel- it’s the least we can do to support our military who do so much for so many!

We pray he will return home safely from Fort Worth, TX.
