Coming Soon- Updates to our YouTube Channel with Behind the Scenes Footage at Events with the Texas Twins Team!

Last night Anne Alexander accompanied me to a wedding I had a few reservations about after seeing a broken window at this venue ironically located next to a coin operated laundry!

You see, things are never as impeccable as you might think they are at weddings and especially, at funerals.

The Bride Esmerelda had contacted me several months ago during the “off” season and was quoted a discounted rate with the request to send a deposit.

Four months later, she calls me a week prior to the event. No deposit had me a little unnerved regarding this event and, the Bride post dated the check!

Many of you already know that the Texas Twins Team often do reduced rates for members of our community struggling with standard price structures that include military members, senior citizens and other special needs groups.

However, this wedding included a coordinator and a band. I often find myself wondering why on earth the wedding officiant is the least expensive item on the Bride and Groom agenda? Needless to say, the couple had forgotten to bring a checkbook and pay their balance upon our arrival.

Anne and I were talking to Cory Oropenza regarding this issue when he suggested a spruce up on our YouTube channel with so many hilarious mishaps and perhaps guest hosting a few spots with our LBGT community on their channel.

I’m not adept at YouTube at all, in fact I believe it’s for “young people” and immediately decided to give Cory and Rochelle Roullette aka Tucker Taylor free reign to bring our channel up to par so to speak since I’m overwhelmed trying to keep up with my Proctor and Gamble job as well as consulting with Gershman Lehman Group and continuing our event services while also writing the blogs and running my eBay store.

With my translator (Stephaney Mahaney) away seeking treatment for un diagnosed issues related to schizophrenic behavior in Oklahoma, we need all the help we can get.

Thankfully, we have a well rounded team and after many requests to find out more about our team, Cory suggested behind the scenes clips with interviews to give an in depth look at the many personalities my team brings to the table.

A quick overview of our group gives you an idea that we “always have something interesting to share!”

Wendy Wortham- a perfectionist, I’m often called bossy. Although, I certainly don’t think I am.

Cindy Daniel- Photographer and “Chatty Cathy” my twin sister often gets so busy visiting with guests at events that she forgets to take photos and I’m constantly reminding her to get this or that shot.

Anne Alexander- Always calm and organized, Anne ensures everything is in place and the Bride and Groom if they have not had a rehearsal, know where to stand while I go over the details of the ceremony. Anne also is a photographer at events.

Cory Oropenza- Happy and quick with a smile, Cory is quick to lend a hand with furniture, photography, hair and make up or event set up.

Rochelle Roullette aka Tucker Taylor- Fun loving, and constantly upbeat, this drag queen diva is not only a performer but also a hair and make up specialist who design flyers, performs in numerous shows throughout the metroplex and keeps this team laughing with some of the unexpected antics of the guests and sometimes the couples.

Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney- These darling tiny Texas Twins charm guests and couples alike. Often hired as flower girls or ring bearers, these little beauties also assist other children who are unfamiliar with the wedding process.

Virginia Malone- scheduling events with quick witted precision, my good natured surrogate “mom” has often made last minute runs to the store when the team realizes we missed this or that item.

There are many other personalities within our team that pitch in whenever we need them as volunteers. Thank you dear friends for always being ready and willing to lend an extra SUV, folding table or your assistance to get the job done!

While I related to Cory the events of last night including a broken zipper on the bridal gown, a flower girl gone wild throwing petals in guest faces and even an organ player that just couldn’t get the Wedding March right!

I thought it was a joke when the music sounded precisely like something from a Boris Karloff movie until the look on Anne’s face indicated otherwise.

You see, even with all this unexpected and for seek chaos- we get the job done! Paid or not, we leave events with smiling couples and guests and we often enjoy a smile over the crazy and wild things nobody would have foreseen.

This is what makes our team so special- no matter what it takes to exceed your expectations, we are committed to providing you excellence even it means grabbing a flower basket from an over zealous ten year old to proceed!20140615-142847.jpg
