A Team Of Twins And Why We Work Well Together at Weddings and Other Events

I’m an identical twin. My sister Cindy Daniel and I have always been a “we” rather than a “me.”

Cindy has been raising her twin grand daughters Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney since birth. I help whenever I can, we share everything including the responsibility of caring for these beautiful twins.

We get stopped in public often as people are fascinated by twins with twins. Often, we are told how mothers wished for twins or, wished they had one.

Being a twin is a blessing for myself and, Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney it’s funny to me that Makenna favors me and Maryssa favors Cindy.

We all compensate each other by having mirror personalities. While Makenna and I are perfectionists, Maryssa and Cindy are fun loving and easy going.

Often at events- I’m running around like crazy making certain every detail is flawless while Cindy captures the perfect photos of the wedding party and guests.

I started this business to involve my family in a project where we could spend more time together and, along the way have learned that in a fast paced business like ours- we are all lucky to have each other.

Maryssa and Makenna have always enjoyed being involved with the wedding process and whether their roles as flower girls, ring bearers or, simply giving guidance to other children in the wedding party they are happy to be a part of the party!

It’s not unusual for twins to have a business together, many of our twin friends do and are successful at it because of the close relationship they share.

I’ve often been told to write a book about our numerous endeavors and maybe one day I will.

While most folks think the craziest things can happen at a wedding, I’ve got to tell you that the things we’ve seen at funerals makes Bridezilla look like the fairy godmother.

Families react differently under various types of stress and while a wedding is a celebration, a funeral is a time of grief that requires my role of a Minister to sometimes be that of a jack of all trades from floral designer, to mediator, to dictator when things get out of hand amongst the relatives.

Unexpected outbursts of crying and grief aside, my role is to comfort and console families and I take this and my many other “hats” quite seriously.

You see, I too have experienced the loss of a loved one and understand the process of saying goodbye.

Maryssa and Makenna have always accompanied us to events and, even at a funeral handing out remembrance cards can bring a little joy to bereaved families.

Compassion starts at home and in this business, as soon as we book the next event.

The Texas Twins Team is a unique and diverse group- not only because we are family owned and operated but also because we honor your celebrations and your joys as well as your sorrows and your loss.

Our customers and clients will always be an important element in the success of our business and as we get started on a new wedding season with new friends and opportunities, I wanted to take a moment and thank our supporters, our friends and our community for putting their trust in our company. 20140307-054604.jpg
